Studio Archive

Materials, observation, and time

Two decades of independent studio practice balancing solo exhibitions, private commissions, and careful material preparation in Hudson, New York.

Working Method

Ground preparations and pigments

Drawings begin with graphite and unprimed paper, testing form before color. Oil on linen is layered slowly over several months in the studio, using historic color houses and rabbit-skin glue sizing.

Sourcing materials directly from traditional mills ensures archival longevity and allows the intrinsic tactile qualities of pigment and weave to remain entirely uncompromised.
